Our first series focuses on how scholars frame historical problems; research in different kinds of archives; analyze primary materials including text, objects, and images; synthesize and critically engage secondary literature; present their work for collaborative feedback; and work with editors and publishers.

To the Revolution

Our second series synthesizes Season 1’s discussions into a demonstration of how differently scholars approach, understand, and portray the events comprising the American Revolution. “Doing History: To the Revolution!” puts listeners in the minds of today’s top scholars as they seek to articulate America’s formation.

Our third series explores the genre of biography, how it relates to and is different from the genre of history, and how historians and biographers can best uncover and understand the lives of people from the past.
